Diet we intake plays a vital role in determining the health of our skin. Hence diet has to be considered as one of the important factors in the skin care. Take care to have a healthy skin diet in all meals as it is the key to the clear beautiful skin. Your diet should contain a proper balance of the right proportions of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrate, fats and proteins, apart from this you should eat more fruits, vegetables, bread, cereals, potatoes, and pasta for a healthy diet. Take care to include more fibre rich foods. Inclusion of certain minerals and vitamins is also good for your skin. Zinc can be included for boosting the immune system and promoting optimum health. Selenium is a mineral antioxidant that can be included to minimize the damage of the ultraviolet lights. Vitamin C is a very helpful vitamin in keeping away all the allergies from the body and helps in increasing the immune system. To promote healthy skin vitamin E can be used. You can classify the basic food groups that have to be included in the diet into 5. A healthy diet consists of eating a variety of foods from all of the groups but in the correct proportion.

 The first groups are bread, potatoes, pasta, noodles and breakfast cereals and the rice. Fruits and the vegetables fall in the second group. Third group consists of the milk and the diary foods. Fourth group includes meat, fish, poultry and pulses. The fifth and the last group are the foods containing fats and sugars. 

 For most of the people a healthy diet would be simple and easy to do, if they make sure that the above groups of foods are included in your diet.

Some people will have saggy skin and they may look older than their actual age. Such skin needs more in take of proteins, carbohydrates and vitamins in the diet. Non-vegetarians have rich amount of protein in their diet but vegetarian diet lacks it, so the vegetarians should need to include a good amount of proteins in their diet. Vegetarians can increase their intake of pulses, dairy products, and sprouts, which are rich source of proteins. Soya beans has a great source, inclusion of Soya is very good for the body and the skin. Soya beans can be taken in any form of meal type. Soya beans are available in the form of Soya chunks, Soya granules, Soya flour etc. Sugar is very rich in carbohydrates. But one should be careful with the intake of the sugar because sugar causes more damage than benefits when used in excess. So always keep a check on the quantity of the sugar intake.

As inclusions of certain foods are needed for a healthy skin, exclusion of certain foods are also necessary. Junk foods, fried foods and saturated stuffs are becoming popular nowadays but the damages caused by the intake of such foods are many. These are the main cause of getting acne, pimples and breakouts on the skin after hormonal imbalance. Hence one should avoid eating junk food, fried food and saturated stuff to keep the skin in a good condition. The majority of people in this country eat too much fat and not enough fibre.

Healthy Skin Diet Tips

1. Always make sure to eat freshly cooked warm food. Take cares to eat the proper quantity of food and avoid eating foods more than you need.  
2. Some foods are incompatible with each other like the fruit salads prepared in milk or any other milk preparations should not be taken along with fish. Such foods that should not be combined are called as Virudh anna.

3. Try to have your food in a clean place. The environment around you while consuming the food must be pleasant and hygienic.

4. Junk foods and fast foods that are bought from outside may be tasty but it is not good for your health. It is also better to avoid spicy foods, oily foods and fried foods. Warm foods should be consumed but avoid very hot foods. In order to attract the customers some use artificial pungent smells for their foods, such types of foods also must be avoided.

5. Water in take is necessary to reduce the dryness of the intestine and to drain the wastes out of the blood through out of the blood through urine. So large amount of water, liquids, juices etc must be taken for a healthy skin.

6. Fruits especially the citrus fruits are good for a glowing skin, so including fruit juices such as grapes, lemon, etc. is also recommended.

7. Including selenium in your diet plays a key role in preventing the skin cancer.

8. Zinc should be included as it is helpful in boosting the immune system and thus promotes an optimum health.
